Ramotsava to be Celebrated from 15 to 17 April

Mangaluru: Shri Ramotsava Samiti (SRS) held a press meet regarding Ramotsava at the Nehru Maidan here, on April 14.

Addressing the mediapersons, Honourary President of SRS, Prof M B Puranik said, “Ramotsava programme will be held on 15, 16 and 17 April under the joint aegis of Vishwa Hindu Parishad, Bajrang Dal, Maathrmandali, Durgavahini and SRS. Giridhar Bhat will conduct the Puja on the occasion.”

Various spiritual and cultural programmes will be held on these days, which will be attended by eminent Swamijis, MP Nalin Kumar Kateel, and others. On April 17, Ravana Dahana and beautiful fireworks show will be held. In the wake of Kollum tragedy in Kerala, this year the fireworks are scaled down by 50% on Ramotsava. Prof Puranik said, “VHP expresses condolences to the families affected due to the Kollam temple tragedy. We also appreciate the prompt response by the Prime Minister in this regard.”

SRS President, Sandesh Shetty, Secretary, Gopal Kuttar and others were present.
