½ kg fish 10-12 red chillies ½ tsp cumin seeds 4 peppercorns ¼" piece of turmeric 4 cloves garlic ½ piece of ginger a small ball of tamarind 1 finely sliced onion 2 tbsp oil
Method: Clean and cut the fish into small pieces, apply salt to it and keep it aside. Grind all the ingredients into paste. Fry the onion until brown, add the masala and fry for a minute. Add 1 cup of water and boil it. Once boiled add fish. Cook on low heat until tender. Add salt and vinegar if required.
