Half coconut. Four red chillies. Small lemon sized tamarind. One small bittergourd. One small onion. Oil. Mustard. Salt.
Clean the bittergourd and cut into very small pieces. Drain it and fry in oil till it turns brown. Grind grated coconut, roasted red chillies, tamarind, salt with very little water to make chutney. Slice onions into very small pieces. Mix the cut onions and fried bittergourd pieces with the chutney and serve with rice.
