12 pcs. Sardines cleaned cut into 2 pcs each 8 Kashmiri chillies 1 tbsp coriander 1 tsp jeera 7 pepper corns 1/4 tsp. turmeric 1 tsp ajwan Ball of tamarind 1/4 cup coconut (or instant coconut milk Powder 1 tbsp) 1 onion 2 flakes of garlic 1/4 tsp. methi powder ½ tsp. mustard
Method:
Grind Kashmiri chillies, coriander, jeera, pepper, ajwan, turmeric, mustard, tamarind, coconut, onion and garlic. And methi to fine paste. Mix ground masala with 1 onion sliced, 4 pcs of green chillies, 1 small pc of ginger, 2 cups of water, salt and boil well. Then add the cut sardines and cook till done. Serve with matta rice and veg.
