Relax on Goa beaches, Naqvi tells Congress

Panaji, June 26 (IANS) Congress leaders are still suffering from depression caused by the 2014 Lok Sabha poll defeat and they should relax on a Goa beach, BJP leader Muktar Abbas Naqvi said on Friday.

The minister of state for parliamentary affairs was in Panaji to address Bharatiya Janata Party workers on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the 1975-77 Emergency.

“The Congress has been out of power for a year. They (its leaders) should come out of the depression caused by the defeat. They are disturbed because of the defeat. To correct their minds, they should relax on a Goa beach,” Naqvi said.

He added that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had “booted out” corrupt elements who operated from the national capital’s power corridors.
