Rider killed in Gas tanker – Bike collision at Perne

Bantwal: A bike rider was killed when a gas tanker collided head-on into his bike at Amai Bridge, Perne here on September 19.

The deceased has been identified as Mustafa (35), a resident of Hiriyadka, Uppinangady.


According to the police, Mustafa was on his way to Uppinangady from Mani. A gas tanker plying from Bengaluru towards Mangaluru collided head-on into Mustafa’s bike. Mustafa was thrown to the ground and severely injured. Mustafa was rushed to the hospital but succumbed to injuries on the way to the hospital.

A case has been registered in Bantwal Traffic police station.
