Rs 3.80 lakh worth gold, cash stolen from house in Manipal

Manipal: Nearly 50 grams of gold and cash were burgled from the house of Hanif Sheikh, a resident of Hayagrivanagar Manipal, between June 8 to June 13.

According to the police, Hanif’s family had gone on a family tour. They left home on June 8 around 6 pm and returned on June 13 at around 6 am. On their return, they found that the lock of the door was broken and a wardrobe in the bedroom was ransacked. The thieves made away with cash of Rs 2.55 lakh and gold worth Rs 1.25 lakh.

The Manipal Police have registered the case and investigation is on.
