RSS, BJP are protecting Manu’s ideology: Rahul Gandhi

New Delhi, April 11 (IANS) Hitting out at the RSS and the BJP, Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi on Monday said that while his party was trying to destroy Manu’s ideology of a caste system, they were trying to protect it.

Addressing a rally here as part of B.R. Ambedkar’s 125th birth anniversary celebrations, he said: “It is often said that around 1,000 years ago, a person called Manu lived in India. Ambedkar ji was talking about that person’s ideology. He was pained by his idea.

“The Congress stood with Ambedkar ji and together they drafted the constitution, which was against Manu’s ideas. The truth is that we’ve been successful in defeating Manu’s ideology. But his ideas could not be erased from the minds of (certain) people.

“The constitution and the right to vote was just the beginning to defeat Manu’s ideology. But, the battle is a long one.”

Gandhi said that in India, there are only two ideologies – “one which protects Manu’s ideology and the other which attacks it. The Congress talks about equality and in favour of the poor; on the other hand, the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and the Bharatiay Janata Party (BJP) protects Manu’s ideology. This is the truth of our country”.

“The BJP is trying to eliminate Panchayati Raj in our coutry, which was started by us. Haryana and Rajasthan are glaring examples. They are saying if you don’t go to schools, you can’t contest panchayat elections. By doing so, they are denying lakhs of Dalit women the right to contest elections,” he said.

“On one hand, there is constant attack on democratic structures and Panchayati Raj, and on the other, people are being denied education. Their aim is to deny you access to better education. Now, there is RSS influence on everything – education, bureaucracy everywhere,” he added.

“Today, there is no university in India where there is no RSS person (in position of authority). They attack me because they know I will never surrender before the ideology of the RSS and Manu.”

  1. “It is often said that around 1,000 years ago, a person called Manu lived in India” – Report quoting a guy who is quite honestly an embarrassment to Indian intellectuals.

Manu lived 1000 years ago??? This is embarrassing even by the low standards of Congress and its vote banks!!! Manusmriti itself is at least 2000 yrs old. The mythological figure Manu is tied to the origin of mankind. And, this guy says that he lived 1000 years ago!! LOL LOL LOL LOL

Meanwhile, here is something for ‘Beef Club’ members to watch and learn the threat of peaceful community. Do they have an ounce of honesty or courage to talk about the ‘other’ manu? LOL LOL

Nation within a nation says the report referring to the situation in UK. Finally, Pinto’s foreign masters are facing the same threat that amputated Akhanda Bharatha over centuries!!!

  2. “Manu is TIED to the origin of mankind” – Vedic Yumreeki Joker Scholar – Rampa

Hey Rampu, is time cyclic or linear? 😉

  3. I believe the original mankind is not Manu, but “Maadhu” who was the original settler before the Aryans migrated to India with their mythical stories similar to Greek mythology.

  4. “Is time cyclic or linear?” asks Anganawaadi student Praveena Pinto.

Good question. Hmmm…let me think. Praveena applied for job in recent uDyoga meLa AFTER he lost his farm job and sent back from Saudi Arabia. He went to Saudi Arabia AFTER his US visa was rejected. Okay – looks like Time is linear in nature. But, sanaathana dharma, hated by him and his foreign masters, talks about ‘punarapi jananam, punarapi maranam’, hinting at cyclical nature of life. Modern physics also talks about gravity’s influence on time in the eyes of observers at different locations. So….I don’t know. As purandara daasa put it – Nee maaye oLago..ninooLu maaayeyo ? Right? smiles…

  5. I ask him a question and he starts pouring some ‘punarpuli’ juice, mutters some “I don’t know” and sings some Purandaradaasa keerthan and rides off into the distance. Good job ya rampa. 🙂

  6. From ‘punarapi jananam’ to ‘punarpuli juice’ – all in a few generations!! How did ‘Beef Club’ manage to produce so many geniuses? Even those foreign masters would be surprised by the level of intellectual backwardness they have managed to create just in a few generations!! No wonder these ‘dinka-dinka’ characters know nothing about their own heritage – Be it Shankaraacharya or Purandaradaasa!!

    • “Dinka dinka….” – punarpuli Rampe

      Ayyo Rampa..

I wasn’t talking about your Purandaradaaasa’s dinka-dinka bhajana. I was referring to Jimmy Durante’s ‘Inka Dinka Doo’ song way back from the 1930’s.

How on EARTH does the Na (B***) Kaoonga, Na (B***) khilane doonga club produce geniuses faster than a production line?

  7. “Aryans migrated to India with their mythical stories…” writes ‘Beef Club’ member Lawrence.

I agree with you. This is no different from European Christians or Arab Muslims who brought their mythical stories to India and started converting people!! After the fall of Roman empire, the same mythical stories started spreading in Europe and pushed the entire continent into 1000 years of darkness. All the indigenous religions in Europe were wiped out!! It was only in 15th century, Europe finally managed to start moving away from these mythical stories and turned towards science and reason. As I have pointed out here, religions are filled with mythical stories. And, they go against reason and science.
