RSS pays homage to Ambedkar

Bhopal, April 14 (IANS) The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) on Thursday paid homage to Bhimrao Ambedkar on his 125th birth anniversary.

The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh organised a march accompanied by band here and performed a guard of honour at a statue of Ambedkar, a key architect of India’s constitution.

In Mhow, where Ambedkar was born, RSS volunteers played band and blew a bugle to honour the Dalit icon.

Born on April 14, 1891, Ambedkar was a jurist, politician and social reformer who campaigned against oppression of Dalits. He died on December 6, 1956.
