Samantha, Sivakarthikeyan team up for first time

Chennai, Aug 20 (IANS) Actors Sivakarthikeyan and Samantha Ruth Prabhu are all set to team up for the first time in an upcoming yet-untitled Ponram Tamil directorial.

“Welcome on board Samantha Prabhu for our production number 4 with Siva Karthikeyan,” read a post on the official Twitter handle of the makers, 24 AM Studios.

The project marks the third collaboration of Sivakarthikeyan and Ponram after “Varuthapadatha Valibar Sangam” and “Rajini Murugan”.

Slated to go on the floors next year around the Sankranti festival, the film will hit the screens during Diwali 2017.

Before commencing Ponram’s film, Sivakarthikeyan will complete work on his next yet-untitled project with director Mohan Raja.

Sivakarthikeyan also awaits the release of Tamil romantic-comedy “Remo”.

Telugu actor Varun Sandesh ties the knot

Hyderabad, Aug 20 (IANS) Telugu actor Varun Sandesh entered into wedlock with actress Vithika Sheru here on Friday.

“August 19 will be remembered for ever. Love you always,” Varun wrote on his Twitter page on Saturday.

He also shared a photograph from his wedding along with the tweet.

Varun and Vithika first met and fell in love on the sets of last year’s Telugu romantic-drama “Paddanandi Premalo Mari”.

While Varun is known for working in Telugu films such as “Happy Days”, “Kurradu” and “Kotha Bangaru Lokam”, Vithika has starred in films across southern industries.

In Telugu, Vithika has worked in films such as “Prema Ishq Kadhal” and “Jhummandi Naadam”.
