Sandeep Shetty Attempt to murder case, 3 Arrested
Mangaluru: The South police have arrested three persons in connection with the Sandeep Shetty attempt to murder case here on August 23, said the police commissioner Chandra Sekhar in a press meet held at the commissioner’s office here on August 24.
The arrested have been identified as Vijay alias Monkey stand Vijay (30), from Monkey stand, Melrick D’Souza (20) from Gorigudda and Praveen alias Chotu (23) from Kodikkal.
PC Chandra Sekhar also said that the other accused Nikhil Shetty alias Eli, Annayya alias Annu Dhanraj, Abhishek and Sampath were arrested within a short period of the crime and were produced before the court. All those who helped the accused to abscond will be severely punished.
The accused Vijay is involved in various crimes and 16 cases have been registered against him. The second accused Melrick has 5 cases against him and Praveen has 3 cases in various police stations.
The above accused were arrested by the South police from Raibag Belagavi. The South police inspector Belliappa and his team will be rewarded with cash prizes.
Under the able guidance of ACP Shruti and the Police inspector of South Police station Belliappa, the operation was carried out by sub-inspector of South Police station Mohammed Sherif, PSI Ananth Murdeshwar, ASI Krishna, Gangadhar, Shekhar Gatti, Vishwanath, Dhananjay, Satyanarayan, Pradeep Kumar Rai, Nutan Kumar, Vinod, Siddarth, Praveen Shetty, Chandra Shekhar, Sunil Kumar, Purushotham. Bhimappa, Viresh, Manoj Kumar and Sunil Praveen Pereira from the Computer department.
DCP law and order Shantharaju, DCP Crime and traffic Dr Sanjeev Patil and ACP Shruti were also present.
