Saudi Arabia: IFF to Hold National Level Flood Light Kabaddi Tournament in Jeddah

Jeddah: As part of the ‘Fraternity Fest’ with the slogan of ‘festival for friendship’, the India Fraternity Forum Karnataka Chapter will be conducting a one day National Level Flood Light Kabaddi Tournament for Indian expatriates residing in the KSA on 15th May, 2015 at Shabbabiyah Ground, Prince Majid Street, Bani Malik District, Jeddah KSA.

The recently formed ‘IFF Kabaddi Tournament committee’ met on the 24th of April to discuss in detail the National Kabaddi Tournament, which is being conducted for the first time in Saudi Arabia at the National Level. Committee chaired by Arif Bajpe and Muhammed Ismail highlighted the importance of giving an opportunity to Kabaddi players and fans to take part in the Mega tournament. Arif said, “For the first time in Saudi Arabia, a new format of the Kabaddi matches will be applied as it is being implemented in India for the national games.”

The inauguration ceremony will take place at 4:00 pm in which Kingdom wide teams will participate. Along with the Kabaddi tournament, spot games, and other fun and entertainment programmes will be conducted for fans gathered in the floodlit stadium throughout the day. Trophy distribution and a colorful closing ceremony will be held at around 4:00 am.

Teams from all over Saudi Arabia are eligible to participate in the tournament. Interested teams should register before 8th May 2015, as only the first 16 registered teams will be accepted to take part in the tournament.
