New Delhi, Aug 9 (IANS) Union Environment Minister Prakash Javadekar will on Monday launch the School Nursery Yojana that aims to bring students closer to nature by involving them in raising saplings in nurseries created in school.

An official statement said the event will be held at the Talkatora indoor stadium, and around 2,500 students from over 50 schools across Delhi were likely to participate.

“The scheme will involve students from Class 6 to Class 9 in nursery activities and thus create an everlasting bond with plants and trees,” the statement said.
