Sex Racket busted in city, one held woman Rescued

Mangaluru: A 36-year-old man involved in illegal activities was arrested and a woman rescued from Hotel Roopa here on October 1.
The arrested has been identified as Mohammed Arafat (36), a native of Kannur.
According to the police, on October 1, after getting information, the Bunder police raided the hotel and arrested Mohammed Arafat while he was in the act and rescued the woman who was a victim of the flesh trade.
Police have registered a case against the hotel staff Satish K (40) for facilitating illegal activities in the hotel. Satish is now absconding and search is on for him.
The raid was carried out by the North police inspector Shantharam, Head constable Raghav and Pallavi.
