Sexual Harassment Girl Attempts Suicide, One arrested
Kundapur: The Amasebailu Police have arrested a person in connection with the Sexual Harassment of a girl case on June 7.
The arrested has been identified as Vinay Shetty (29) resident of Shedimane.
According to the police, on June 7, they arrested Vinay Shetty in Bengaluru tracing him through the mobile network. The accused Vinay Shetty was produced before the court in Kundapur. The other two accused Prasad Hegde (30) and Prashanth Hegde (28) are still absconding. Police have launched a search operation to nab them.
The victim was attending tailoring classes in Hebri, the accused were allegedly sexually harassing the victim since 3 months. They were also harassing the victim through mobile phone calls and were forcing her to fall in love with them.
On June 2, the accused had forced the victim to accompany them to an unknown location and warned that if she failed to accompany them, she would have to face the consequences. Fearing threats from them the victim allegedly attempted suicide.
