Mangalore: St Aloysius Students to Get Smart through ' Smart Class' Digital Board

Mangalore: The digital board "Smart Class" was donated to St Aloysius High School by the 1977 St. Aloysius students batch, here on June 26.
The programme began with an invocation by the students. Headmaster of St Aloysius High School Fr Edward Rodrigues welcomed the guests and the gathering.





















The programme was symbolically inaugurated by Sashi Kishore Patil along with other dignitaries on the dais. Addressing the gathering Sashi Patil said, "Aloysius was known as the first institute and it has a great history and legacy. Students should strive hard to keep the legacy intact and continue to make this institute as the foremost institute in the country.
He further said that today what we are, is because of the hard work, dedication and efforts put by our teachers here and the institution in molding us to become great personalities. This institution has taught us many things, teachers have taught us passion, value of secularism and equality. Our teachers taught us with passion and explained the meaning of passion. They taught us the values of secularism and the true meaning of equality by treating every student equally.
He urged the students to keep the legacy intact and to get continuous ranks in 10th standard. "It is now in your hands to continue the legacy and when you become successful in your life it contributes towards this great institute" he advised.
Fr Edward Rodrigues in his presidential address said, "In this world there are many people who are very wealthy, they just keep on counting their wealth and checking bank balances. Such people are not called rich people. The one who cares for others prosperity and shares his/her wealth are known as the richest persons in the world". Today by donating a' Smart Class ' digital board, the 1977 students batch of this High school has proved they are the richest people in the world. He urged the students to take them as their role models. We have only one life, and in this life we have to do good deeds and leave a mark on earth, he said
