Doha, Qatar: Indian Friends’ Circle (IFC) Qatar, in coordination with Hamad Medical Corporation successfully had a ‘Blood Donation’ Campaign at Hamad Blood Donor Unit in Doha,with record number of donors. IFC is a prominent social organization working under the patronage of FANAR for propagation of Islam in real prospective and social development of Urdu knowing Indian Community in Qatar. IFC is actively engaged in various social service activities like career guidance, medical camps, blood donation campaigns, helping the poor & the needy, educational and community development programs.

IFC President, Syed Mohiuddin Shakir thanked the authorities of Hamad Blood donor Unit for being very cooperative in the campaign and promised more contribution to the blood bank. He mentioned that IFC has planned another blood donation campaign later this year.

The donors came in large  numbers from various parts of Qatar at Hamad for this great cause.  Women well wishers of IFC also joined this noble campaign. The IFC volunteers along with hospital authorities were busy welcoming donors and filling up the required forms, examining blood samples and getting ready for the extraction of blood, all with smiles on their face. The second time donors will be issued a ‘Donor Card’ exclusively as a proof of their support. The campaign kicked off with good numbers of IFC members voluntarily taking part along with female members and youths.

Hamad Blood Donor Unit thanked all the donors, IFC President and all the volunteers serving in this noble cause and honored IFC with a certificate of commendation. The campaign which kicked off at 2.00 pm, concluded at 7.30 pm.
