Beltangady: Two Pilgrim Youth Washed away in Netravati

Beltangady: Two youngsters who had come from different place on pilgrimage to Dharmasthala died of drowning while having gone for a holy dip in river Netravati here on Sunday, July 1.

Purushottam (28) from Bangalore got down into the river before visiting the temple. He was washed away and not found until late night.

Similarly, Narendra Babu (19) from Gowribidanur taluk of Chikmagalur district also was washed away and not found. He had come with Manjunath, Raghavendra, Rajesh and Mahesh.

The police have been informed and a search is on for both.
