Brahmavar: A house belonging to Krishni Poojarthy, near Uggel Bettu was  completely damaged by a falling Banyan Tree which probably was uprooted due to heavy downpour and strong winds during the wee hours of Monday morning.  The loss incurred is estimated to be 2-3 lacs.   It is believed that heavy rains uprooted the banyan tree causing it to crash on the house.
