Mangalore: Retired President of Karantaka State Employees Association H Sanjeeva was felicitated by the Association on July 11 at the Newly built Community hall, near Government college. The programme began with an invocation. Vice President of the Karantaka State Employees Association Rajendra Prasad welcomed the gathering. H Sanjeeva was felicitated by MLA U T Khader along with other dignitaries.
Addressing the gathering, Khader said that the government employees work for the betterment of the society as well as the state. Wherever they get transferred they have to accept the transfer and work. There are many people who work without making any fuss or excuses. They just work with transparency and give good service to the society. If we see around, the government employees and teachers are the perfect tax payers in our country. Whichever political party comes to power, government employees perform their duties without fail, without taking any side. Rich or poor in the society, whenever they face problems government employees always play an vital role in finding a solution to solve the problems.

He stated that the government should give housing loan to its employees with interest rate of 3% so that they can lead a decent life by giving good education to their children and meeting the needs of the family. Some government employees face many family problems, if the government take the initiative in solving such problems, the society will get very good service, he opined.
H Sanjeeva thanked all the members for their support during his three decades of tenure in government service. Mangalore Bar Council President S P Chengappa and President of Karantaka State Employees Association George Pinto also spoke on the occasion. ADC Excise Poovappa Gowda, Vishalakshi Sanjeeva and Niaranjan Murthy were also present. |
