Sullia: Cricketer Laxman in Subrahmanya to Offer Special Poojas

Sullia: Dashing Indian cricketer Vangipurapu Venkata Sai ( V V S) Laxman - fondly referred to by his fans as 'Very Very Special' Laxman - visited the temple town of Subrahmanya on Saturday, July 21 and obtained a darshan of the ruling deity, Shri Kukke Subrahmanya Swamy.

He offered the Mahapanchamrita Abhisheka and Naga Pratishtha Seve on Saturday. On Sunday, he is expected to offer the Ashlesha Bali Seve.

Temple management committee president Krishnaprasad Madtila, members Chandrashekhar Talur and Mohan Sullia, executive officer H M Kali and protocol officer Venkatraj welcomed him.

Speaking briefly to our correspondent, Laxman did not appear to have any special intention of his cricketing career for his visit. He said the visit was for the welfare of his family.
