Mangalore: ABVP Strongly Demands To Ban PFI and CFI Organizations In State

Mangalore: The ABVP activists once again came out on the streets demanding the government to ban the PFI and CFI organization from the state. The activists marched in procession from Ambedkar Circle which culminated near the  DC office here on 3 August 2012.

The State Secretary of ABVP, Ramesh said that our district is in news for wrong reasons, and it has become the international news from past one week.  The government had banned the KFD and SIMI, both the organisations had a role in the recent communal violence that rocked Mysore. The resolution termed the two organisations as a new version of the banned outfit SIMI and alleged that they posed a danger to the State’s security.  Now after banning both these organizations the activists of these outfits joined the PFI and CFI, they have brutally murdered  more than 27 students from ABVP, RSS, and CPIM, in the state.

Kerala Government has informed the high court that the SIMI (Students Islamic Movement of India) is now known as "Popular Front of India" and the National  secretary for SIMI Abdul Rehman is the National president of PFI.  Earlier the SIMI, Kerala State Secretary Abdul Hameed became the PFI secretary.  It is a transformation of SIMI into PFI. He also said that if the government will not ban such organization, many innocent students will lose their life.  He urged the government to ban PFI and CFI from the state.

Addressing the protesters Vinaya Horatti, said that, the KFD and NDF is banned by the Kerala Government but the members of the same organization joined the PFI and CFI,  two students have been abducted  and murdered by the PFI members in Mysore, but in Karnataka no colleges have protested against the murder of 2 college students.  The PFI members were involved in various crimes and now they have entered inside the college campus to create misunderstanding between students.  It is also learnt that the PFI training centers exist in Yallapuram Kerala, Kannur and Ullal.  He urged the authorities to ban Campus Front of India and Popular Front of India immediately.

Pavitra, from University College, Mangalore speaking on the occasion said, that in the name of Burkha and HeadScarf, these organizations have entered the colleges to poison the minds of students. In the name of love jihad, many illegal activities are taking place inside the college campus. The members of PFI and CFI are creating misunderstanding between the students.  She also said that a memorandum has already been submitted to the DC regarding the illegal activities in the campus.  She said if such organizations will not be banned there will be problem for girls on  the campus.  She demanded the authority to take the matter seriously and ban both the organizations for the welfare of the college students.

Chinmay Rai, and Pranjal Secretary Canara College  also spoke on the occasion. Students from various colleges participated in the protest.
