Udupi: Temples in 'Temple City' Offer Prayers For Good 'Monsoon' Rains

Udupi: Various temples in the 'Temple City' offered prayers to appease Rain Gods for good monsoon rains. In Uchilaa Sri Mahalingeshwara Temple, on Thursday special prayers were offered  through abhisheka, parjanya japa-homa etc., held in the leadership of Veda Murthy Kambalakatti Radhakrishna Trantri.

Ganesh Bhat, the main priest; Venkatesh Navada; Uchhilaa Bada Grama Panchayath President Chandrashekar Kotian and villagers were present on the occasion.

In Udupi , Chandramaulishwara temple and  Anantheshwara Temple,  prayers were offered under the leadership of Puttige Math pontiff Sri Sugunendra Thirtha Sripada.

Puttige Math Vedavyas Ithal; Gokuldas Naik; Jayakar Shetty Indrali; Yashpal Suvarna; Pramod Madhwaraj were present.
