Mangalore: Edmond Fernandes and Andrew Nominated to Represent IFMSA

Mangalore: Edmond Fernandes and Andrew Lourdunathan , MBBS Students of Father Muller Medical College,  have been nominated to represent the Indian Delegation at the 61 General Assembly of the International Federation of Medical students Association ( IFMSA) at The Renaissance Convention Centre in Mumbai from 9 to 14 August.

Edmond Fernandes is a final year MBBS student, Medical journalist and author, “Small Things That Matter Much” and Andrew Lourdunathan is a third year MBBS student and winner of the Eros Pharma Award for Occupational research paper.

This assembly is a world congregation of more than 1000 medicos representing 104 countries. Its happening for the first time in The Republic of India and the theme is Universal Health Coverage".

Eminent guests like Suresh Shetty, Health Minister, Govt of Maharashtra,  Shashi Tharoor, MP, Dr RP Pai, Professor of Community medicine, Father muller medical college and former advisor, Blessed Mother Theresa, Missionaries of Charity and many others would be part of this mega event.

IFMSA is headquartered in Voltaire, France and is recognized by the United Nations, World Health Organization and Other inter-country organizations.
