Mangalore: TLCC to hold 'Save Earth Awareness Walk-A-Thon'

Mangalore : Trinity London Communication Centre will hold "Save Earth Awareness Walk-A-Thon", on Sunday 12, August, 2012 at Kadri park, said the Co-ordinator, TLCC, Bina Gonsalves in a press meet at the press club here on August 8.
Upset by the Sparce Monsoon this year. and aware of the dangers of the global warming effecting us, the members of the Trinity London Communication Mangalore branch, have decided to hold "Save Earth Awareness Walkathon", from Kadri park to Mangala Stadium at 9.00 am.




Some of the retired members of the Ladies circle - Mangalore 82, who created the awareness last year and helped the much needed SK Zilla Parishad Kudupu Government school with drinking water an toilet facilities, have joined together to make every Mangalorean aware of the bleak future ahead. These very concerned parents have visited and invited every student to join this awareness drive.
Slogan competitions on the depleting environment are being held in every school, the concerned students are collecting sponsors to fund the first environmental electronic toilet in the city for women and children.
The organizers have invited the students and the citizens to take part in large number, the students will come in their school uniform and id card along with the school flag, carry slogans on the global warming and assemble at the Kadri Park at 7.30a.m and walk to the Mangala stadium to save our earth. There will be a Annual parents day awareness programme at St Agnes college auditorium on 11 August 2011, said Bina.
Members of Trinity London Communication Centre, Manjunath, Nayana Fernandes, Lynette Lobo, Suman Prem Kumar and Phyllis D'Costa were also present. -- |
