Udupi: In a tragic incident, a woman from Santiyar near Harikhandige was run over by a speeding bus when she was crossing the road to catch another bus in Perdoor town on Tuesday evening.

Lalita Shetty (56) had come to Perdoor. On her way back she was  from one bus to the other, she was trying to catch a bus back to her village. Another bus hit her and ran over her, killing her on the spot.

She is survived by husband, two daughters and a son. A case has been filed in the Hiriadka police station.
