|
|
Team Mangalorean - Suburban
Mangalore: Students who studied together in Kannada MA at Mangalore University between 1971 and 1973 will come together for old times' sake and celebrate the nostalgia with a grand reunion in the old senate hall at Mangalagangotri in the morning on October 10, 2012. The programme will begin at 10 am.
The batch that included the likes of former academic and author Chandrakala Nandavar, social activist Vasudeva Uchil, Janaki Brahmavar, Jayaprakash Gowda Mandya and others will have a plank to recall the old memories, as also to recreate the Kannada-loving group of enthusiasts.
Registrar Dr K Chinnappa Gowda has taken the initiative in organizing the event. The idea is to honour their gurus of those days and also to share their experiences and narratives of their achievements in the past 40 years.
The batch of 1971 will also felicitate its two erstwhile professors, B A Viveka Rai and H J Lakkappa Gowda. |
