Udupi: Local Man Peddling Hemp Brought from Manjeshwar Arrested

Udupi: The district crime investigation bureau (DCIB) police have arrested Stanley Sandeep (23) of Indira Nagar, Kukkikatte, while he was trying to peddle hemp (cannabis, locally known as 'ganja').

He was picked from the vicinity of the railway officers' rest-house in Indrali. He admitted to having brought the hemp from Manjeshwar in Kasaragod district of Kerala.

He was reportedly looking for buyers - among them students in particular. He has been supplying narcotics to students for quite some time, said police sources.

Hemp weighing 350 gms, Rs 110 in cash and a mobile phone have been seized from him.
