St Aloysius Higher Primary School Pays Tribute to Father of Our Nation

 

Mangaluru: St Aloysius College Higher Primary School celebrated the birthday of Mahatma Gandhi (Gandhi Jayanthi) on 2nd October in our school auditorium very enthusiastically.

Ravi Posavanike a special photographer by profession was the chief guest. He placed a brief history of Mahatma Gandhi before the audience. He stressed Swachcha Bharatha started by Gandhiji then. Gandhiji’s motto ‘Gunshot never bring Freedom’. His freedom struggle through non-violence brought independence to our country.

Fr. Ravi Santhosh Kamath presided over the function. He appreciated the programme and congratulated everyone for their performance. He said he is happy to be a part of the programme especially in the primary school.

Teaching children the importance of non-violence is the need of the hour. The cultural programme based on non-violence. A short skit on Gandhiji’s life was staged by the tiny tots and was appreciated by one and all.

The famous devotional song “Raghupathi Raghava Rajaram” was sung. The whole programme was put up by the students of std II. At the end all the students cleaned their classrooms. Thus the day ended with a thought in everybody ‘s mind that ‘cleanliness is next to Godliness’. Sweets were distributed to all the students.
