Stolen statue recovered, four arrested

Vrindavan, Feb 19 (IANS) An idol, installed by President Pranab Mukherjee while laying foundation stone of the proposed tallest Sri Krishna temple in the world here, which was stolen two days back has been recovered, police said on Thursday.

Four people including a security guard at the premises were arrested for stealing the ‘ashtdhatu’ statue of Shesh Naag, according to the Mathura police.

SSP Rakesh Kumar Singh presented the four at a press conference.
