Subrahmanya: Bollywood Actor Rajiv Kapoor Visits Shri Kukke Temple, Offers Rituals

Subrahmanya: Bollywood legend Raj Kapoor’s youngest son, Rajiv ‘Chimpu’ Kapoor arrived at the temple town on Sunday night and stayed overnight at the Shesha Nag guest house here.

He was accompanied by Nikhil Nanda, son-in-law of another Bollywood legend, Amitabh Bachchan.

They had a darshan of the deity on Monday. They also offered Ashlesha Bali and Nag Pratishtha rituals.

The Kapoor family’s devotion towards Subrahmanya appears to have strengthened after Rishi and Neetu Kapoor visited the shrine a few years.

There was a turmoil in the famly for some time. After offering Naga Dosha alleviation rituals, peace is said to have prevaled, according to sources close to the family.

About Rajiv and Nikhil

Rajiv was not as successful as his brothers ‘Daboo’ Randhir and ‘Chintu’ Rishi in Bollywood. He made his acting debut in ‘Ek Jaan Hain Hum’ in 1983.

Later he played the lead role in ‘Ram Teri Ganga Maili’ opposite Mandakini in 1985. With no much success in acting, he turned to producing movies.

Nikhil is the son of Rajan and Ritu Nanda and is married to Shweta Bachchan Nanda, daughter of Big B.

He is the managing director of Escorts Ltd.
