Subrahmanya: Sandalwood actor-director and multilingual star Arjun Sarja and family members visited Kukke Shri Subrahmanya temple on Wednesday.
They obtained a darshan of the deity and offered special pujas. Speaking to mediapersons on the sidelines, Sarja said that the much-awaited Kannada film ‘Game’ which features him would be released all over Karnataka on Nov 27.
According to him, he plays the role of a police officer in the movie. Bollywood’s Manish Koirala plays the female lead. He also revealed that the movie was produced by A M R Ramesh, with Desharaj and Dhananjaya as co-producers.
This story of this commercial movie focuses on the world of crime and other related issues. The producer has already earned a name with films like ‘ATTahaasa’ and ‘Cyanide’. He further said that he had acted in over 120 Kannada movies. Asked about Coastalwood (Tulu filmdom), Sarja expressed happiness that the Tulu films were doing well.
The family members with him were wife Asha Rani, daughter Aishwarya Arjun, mother-in-law Geeta, producers A M R Ramesh and co-producers Dhananjaya and Desharaj. Temple’s protocol officer Venkatraj welcomed them.
They also visited Hosoligamma shrine and Adi Subrahmanya temple before leaving. Sarja and a few others used an autorickshaw to go from the Kukke temple towards the Adi Subrahmanya temple. That made the driver, Shivaprasad Kashikatte, very happy, who shook hands with Sarja and obtained an autograph.
After visiting Subrahmanya, Sarja and family members arrived at Dharmasthala. After obtaining a darshan of the deity, they called on Dharmadhikari Dr D Veerendra Heggade and held discussions.

Known in childhood by different names as Srinivas and Ashok Babu, he is the son of Lakshmi and the late Shakti Prasad (real name J C Ramaswami), who played villain’s roles in Kannada movies.
Arjun is married to Asha Rani, daughter of senior actor Rajesh. They have two daughters, Aishwarya Arjun, who too has made a debut in movies, and Anjana.
He has appeared, besides in Kannada movies, in Telugu, Malayalam and Tamil movies.
