Sullia: Gunfire Death during Fishing Trip – Police Hopeful of Nabbing Culprits

Sullia: Jayaram Naik (34) of Chembu village in Kodagu, had died of a mystery gunshot at Todikana in Arantodu village on Tuesday night.

He had gone on a fishing trip with four others. The other three have given a statement that the gunshot was fired elsewhere, possibly by another group that had come for hunting wild animals.

Their individual statements were contradictory. Hence a special team headed by Sullia circle inspector B S Satish is investigating the case from different angles.

The police are hopeful of cracking the case in two or three days and arresting the culprits.
