Sullia: Gunshot Death – Besides Accused, Man Trying to Bribe Cops Too Arrested

Sullia: The case of mysterious death of one of the quartet who had gone on a fishing mission at Kudrepaya in the night took another turn later last week.

The two accused, Ramachandara Naik (41) and Vishwanatha Naik (38) of Kudrepaya, who were trying to escape towards Kodagu, were arrested at the boundary village of Koinadu near Sampaje.

It also came to light that Subrahmanya Upadhyaya, said to be a BJP leader, had been paid an amount of Rs 50,000 to be handed to the Sullia circle inspector and other cops to broker a cover-up. He too has been arrested. A case has been registered against him.
