Sullia: ‘Nalin Kumar Kateel Trying to Politically Finish off DVS’ – Block Congress President

Sullia: Speaking at a media meet here on Tuesday, block Congress president M Venkappa Gowda said that Lok Sabha member Nalin Kumar Kateel was planning to finish off former CM and Union law minister D V Sadananda Gowda in the name of Yettinahole stir.

Narrating the background of the Yettinahole project, Gowda said that the BJP people did not have any moral right to protest against it. It was Sadananda Gowda who gave a concrete shape to the idea of Yettinahole promoted by the late Dr V S Acharya.

“The BJP is fully responsible for the production, direction, the cast and distribution of this project,” he said cryptically.

Terming the project entirely as the BJP’s baby, he pointed out that the legislators of that party who did not open their mouths when it was passed in the assembly were now on a campaign to reap political benefits.

He also drew attention to the fact that the global tendering process was already on and hence there was no scope for any corruption.

He welcomed the statement issued by Sadananda Gowda on Monday. He further said that his own partymen were trying to ruin his name and create such a situation as not to allow him to enter the district.

With this agenda in mind, Kateel had organized the padayatra. If it was the party’s programme, leaders like Prahlad Joshi, Shettar or DVS would have been present in the padayatra.
