Sullia: Skeletal Remains of Unidentified Woman Found near Mandekolu Village

Sullia: Forest personnel, while on rounds in the Parappe reserve forests under Puttur range in Bellippady of Mandekolu village, came across some women’s clothings in tatters last week.

They informed the police in Sullia. Circle inspector B S Satish, SI Chandrashekhar H V, crime SI Sanjay Kallur and team arrived there and inspected the spot.

Skeletal remains, bones of arms and legs, teeth, churidar, innerwear, human hair, broken bangles, footwear and other items used by women were found strewn all over the place.

The police are studying the case from the angles of suicide, sexual abuse and attack by wild animals. They are obviously of a woman and they opined that the death could have taken place about six months ago.

The skeletal remains have been taken into possession by them to be sent to the forensic laboratory for analysis. A thorough investigation into the case would be held, they said.
