Sullia: Junior College Crisis Resolved with Suspension of Two Students

Sullia: Alleging that a male student had taken a girl student to a cyber cafe and misbehaved with her, the students of the Junior College here were on strike since Wednesday.

Police were called in and they had to resort to mild cane-charge. The students insisted that the boy be debarred from the college.

The agitation took another turn with the students locking up the staff room on Thursday. The students demanded that both students be debarred from the institution. The parents of both the students too arrived there.

Principal Chidananda Majikodi, police sub inspector Chandrashekhar and the parents of the two students held discussions. Finally, it was decided that the two students be placed under suspension for 15 days.

Thereafter, the students withdrew their agitation.
