Sullia: Two Children Rescued from Alcoholic Father’s Cruelty and Harrassment

Sullia: Two male children, who were being ill-treated and physically harassed by their alcoholic father in Duggaladka on the outskirts, have been rescued by a social workers’ team from here.

The women’s solace centre had received complaint about the case.The team visited the house and held discussions with the mother of the children and got her to agree to have them admitted to schools.

The twelve-year-old elder one has been admitted to the Government Model HP School here and the other, who is eight years old, to the Balila Ashram school, with hostel facility.

Geeta D of the district child protection cell and Pratima, counsellor at the solace centre here took part in the rescue operation.
