Sultan to release on July 6, to cash in on five-day weekend

Mumbai, June 27 (IANS) Bollywood superstar Salman Khan’s much anticipated sports-drama film “Sultan” will release on July 6 on the occasion of Eid.

Yash Raj Films made the release date announcement on Monday.

Produced by Aditya Chopra and written-directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, “Sultan” features Salman and Anushka Sharma as wrestlers.

Interestingly, it will witness a five-day opening weekend at the box office as July 6 is a Wednesday.

“‘Sultan’ advance booking for the 5-day festive weekend will start on Sunday, July 3, 2016 across India,” tweeted trade analyst Taran Adarsh.

Industry experts believe “Sultan” will be a box office winner considering Salman’s score at the ticket counters since the past few years.
