Suvarna Sathish Elected President of Gammath Kalavider

Dubai: Gammath Kalavider UAE, an amateur Tulu stage play troupe was established in 2011 to provide a common platform to Tulu stage play artistes to showcase their talents.

After successfully staging many stage plays in UAE under the leadership of Vishwanath Shetty, former president of Gammath Kalavider and in order to reach further heights, a new working committee was formed for the year 2016-2017 during the Annual General body meeting of the association held at Fortune Classic Hotel Apartments on April 1.

Suvarna Sathish was elected as president of Gammath Kalavider, UAE for the year 2016-2017. Multi-talented Suvarna Sathish, who herself has dedicated to serve the society has handled various posts with the Billawas Dubai, as well as successfully lead the Shree Varmahalaxmi Puja samiti from past several years. Further, She has been serving as the Treasurer of Gammath Kalavider from the date of inception of the Association.

The AGM was welcomed by Kiran Shetty, former Secretary of Gammath Kalavider. Vishwanath Shetty, former president of Gammath Kalavider spoke about his tenure and thanked his committee members for their support and encouragement.

Harish Bangera continues as the Patron and Vasu Shetty as the advisor, Gammath Kalavider UAE not only stages Tulu stage play every year for charity and noble causes, but has also become a role model to other Organizations. The Association has rendered financial support to the poor and the needy people in the society.

Suvarna Sathish Poojary and committee members of Gammath Kalavider UAE have requested all sponsors, members and supporters to extend their support and co-operation to promote Tulu stage plays and also to bring smiles on the faces of the less fortunate.
