Suvarna Tribhuja boat Missing: Navy finds 23-meter-long debris in Deep Sea?

Udupi: Teams from the Navy, Coast Guard, Coastal Police and others, searching for the missing Suvarna Tribhuja boat, stumbled upon a 23-metre-long piece of debris which had sunk underneath the sea. Speculations are rife that it may be from the missing fishing boat which had set out from Malpe.

According to reliable sources, since there was no breakthrough even a month after the search was launched, the Navy is using sonar to find the missing boat. “During the search, we came across debris in the deep sea, which is around 23 metres long, which almost resembles a part of the missing Suvarna Tribhuja boat. Currently, a special ship from Goa has been deployed for 3D mapping of the debris, and it will give a clear picture in a week,”.

Earlier, some of the plastic crates from the missing boat were found in the Malwan region, and the police had confirmed that it was from the Suvarna Tribhuja.

Meanwhile, investigating agencies have concluded that the boat wasn’t hijacked and that it has not crossed out of the Indian waters. “It was concluded from the investigations that there was a high possibility that the boat had met with an accident. However, things will be clear soon about missing boat, which has remained a mystery for about 39 days”.
