Swimming Pool Picnic Organized by Bellevision Bahrain

Bahrain: A perfect summer day is when the sun is shining, the breeze is blowing, the birds are singing and the Belleans of Bahrain are having a swimming pool picnic. Bellevision Bahrain came together on 24th June to enjoy the swimming pool fun organized at a splendid pool area in Riffa – Baba Garden under the leadership and guidance of President Alfreeda Castelino. The day long enjoyable and memorable day started with registration desk that opened at 8 am, which was managed by robust members Sharmila Sequiera and Marita Aranha.

The event started with a very meaningful prayer recited by Joel D’sa. President Alfreeda Castelino welcomed all the members and brought a warm sensation in the hearts of the gathered. The president handed over the program to the energetic and talented sports secretary Judith Mendonca and founder President Joel D’sa.

Splashing in a swimming pool is a sure way to have summer fun. But it’s important to make safety a priority to protect children and others in and around the water. Joel D’sa, communicated clear and concise swimming pool rules and guidelines to all members so they would be safe and able to enjoy their time at the swimming pool. As a warmup, everyone had a laughter therapy which was a great start for the entire day.

A delicious breakfast and lunch was arranged which was organized by Naveen Mendonca and Ronald Alva. Walter Lobo and Roshan arranged free soft drinks during the entire event. A delicious homemade cake prepared by Naveen Mendonca was cut during the event.

Children and adults were kept busy at the pool and on the ground with games like water bottle filling, T-shirt exchange, swimming competition, bursting the balloon, treasure hunt, Basketball, bomb in the city (pool version) etc. Exciting gifts, and chocolates were sponsored by the members. All the games were conducted by sports secretary Judith Mendonca and Joel D’sa.

Music was played throughout the day which kept the crowd alive and members kept dancing to the tune. Some of the talented members sang and entertained the crowd. Sharon D’Souza, Ivan D’Souza and Edward Fernandes were the lifeguards and did a wonderful job with zero injuries and incidents. The memorable moments of picnic were beautifully captured by Ronald Fernandes and Wilson D’Souza.

Other members who enthusiastically assisted the planning and execution of the day’s event were Judith Mendonca, Joel D’sa, Naveen Mendonca, Vincent Martis, Roshan, Arun Castelino, Alfreeda Castelino, Deepika Fernandes, Kishore D’souza, Rony Alva, Stevan Lobo and Ivan Dsouza who ensured that everything went on well. Judith Mendonca delivered the vote of thanks and thanked all those who had actively participated and supported the event.

The picnic ended after an exciting day at the swimming pool, with the sunset leaving beautiful smiles on everyone’s face. It was another successful event in the calendar of Bellevison, Bahrain.
