Theft Attempt in Kolalgiri Church Residence – Records Likely Target

Udupi: The presbytery (priest’s residence) of the Sacred Heart church in Kolalgiri was broken into on Apr 22 night.

According to CCTV footage available, it appeared to be the act of a single person, by sliding the tiles of the roof and breaking open the ceiling.

The man is said to have rummaged the cupboard and thrown around books and records. There is no report of theft of any valuables.

This gives a clear clue that the culprit was looking for some records. A case has been filed at the Brahmavar police station.
