Theft of Rs 1.70 Lakh from Gurupur-Kaikamba House

Mangaluru: Thieves broke into the house of a retired bank manager located in Gurupur Kaikambla in Kinnikambla village last week.

Jayamma had locked her house and gone to Mysuru in mid-May. When she returned on June 15 night, the house was found broken open.

It came to the notice of hers and neighbours only after her return. The thieves had entered the house by cracking the main door.

It was difficult to make a guess of the date of theft. Those who knew about her absence and someone who noticed the house being locked for long may have done the act.

The Bajpe police have registered a case.
