Thrown off Scooter near Beltangady, Woman Pillion-rider Dies
Beltangady: Prakash Nayak, with his relative Saraswati in pillion of his scooter, had met with a mishap at Balkattaru of Odilnala village in the taluk on Tuesday.
Saraswati was thrown off the scooter and had sustained critical injuries in the head and right shoulder. She was admitted to a private hospital in Mangaluru.
She succumbed to the injuries on Wednesday. Based on a complaint from Pradeep Nayak, a case has been registered in the town police station here.

Is Robert Pais from Coondapur? I believe Pais’ is a very prominent family in Coondapur and a lady from my maternal side was married into this family decades ago.
