Trump gets a ‘Piece of Cake’ from Hindu Sena
A Hindu fringe group named ‘Hindu Sena’ celebrated the 70th birthday of Donald Trump in New Delhi on Tuesday, calling the U.S. presidential contender the “saviour of humanity” who could end the global threat posed by Islamist militants. A large birthday cake was cut to shouts of “Long Live Donald Trump”, and a piece of cake was fed to ‘Trump’s mouth’ ?
Mangaluru: Although US Presidential candidate Donald Trump is not only popular these days in America with huge supporters wanting him to be their next US President, but Trump also has the backing of a group called “Hindu Sena” (Hindu Army) right here in Delhi. Ever since Trump’s stand against the radical Muslims and his plans to ban the entry of Muslim immigrants into the United States of America, quite a few saffron groups in India have been supporting him, including Hindu Sena. Many of us here have heard some of Trump’s speeches where he declares that a wall must be built around America to keep Muslims and immigrants away. For most rational individuals, Trump is a part meme, part joke, and completely stuff liberal nightmares are made of.
Sources reveal that, On Tuesday, 14 June 2016, to celebrate the 70th birthday of Donald Trump in New Delhi, calling the U.S. presidential contender the “Saviour of Humanity” who could end the global threat posed by Islamist militants, this Hindu fringe group, “Hindu Sena” invited their members and guest for the birthday bash. Donning red and blue paper hats, the Hindu activists gathered at a stall on a Delhi road to pledge their allegiance to the presumptive Republican nominee, saying they counted on Trump to contain India’s neighbour Pakistan. The Sena members observed a minute’s silence for the victims of last weekend’s shooting at a gay nightclub in Orlando, Florida, before a large 8 kg birthday cake was cut to shouts of “Long Live Donald Trump”.
It is learnt that the little tent was filled with blue and orange balloons and there was a three tier cake placed on the table. But what caught everyone’s attention was a large cut out of Trump, holding a gun. After observing a minute’s silence for the victims of last weekend’s shooting at a gay nightclub in Orlando, Florida, the leaders cut the cake, singing the ‘Happy Birthday’ song, which sounded nothing like the one you have been hearing at birthday parties:”Happy Birthday Trump ji, Trump ji Zindabaad,” the right-wing leaders shouted. As soon as the cake was cut, someone from the crowd asked Gupta to ‘feed’ Trump. “Trump ji ko cake khilao.” Gupta, turned towards Trump ji – the menacing gun wielding cut-out – and smeared his face with cake.
“Trump has said Muslims should be banned from entering America. Everyone should support that. Trump is about to become the king of the world. How will we attack Pakistan without his support? Donald Trump is speaking the entire world’s mann ki baat against Islamic terror and we support it. I found this picture on Google, and I really liked it. So we decided to get a big print out of it and keep it here. If Trump supports India, Prime Minister Modi can go to Pakistan and kill all the terrorists there, just like how the US killed Osama. If I ever meet Trump, I will ask him to remove Islamic terrorism from India too. I am sure if he reads the news and he knows that we are praying for his win,” had said Hindu Sena leader Vishnu Gupta, whose group is known more for its publicity stunts than for having any meaningful support.
Earlier this month, the Hindu Sena leaders conducted prayers in the capital’s Jantar Mantar to show support for Donald Trump and pray for his win. India accuses Muslim Pakistan of responsibility for a commando-style militant raid on the financial capital Mumbai in 2008 that killed 166 people, and an attack on an air base this year. The nuclear-armed neighbours have fought three wars since independence and partition in 1947.
