TV show orders 100 kg flowers for wedding scene

Mumbai, Feb 3 (IANS) The makers of popular mythological TV show “Siya Ke Ram” have ordered 100 kg of marigolds to give an authentic look to an upcoming wedding sequence.

After the ‘swayamvar’ of Sita (Madirakshi Mundle) in the show, viewers will next get to witness her grand style wedding to lord Ram (Ashish Sharma).

According to sources from the showÂ’s set in HyderabadÂ’s Ramoji Film City, the entire atmosphere on the set is extremely joyous.

The entire crew is said to be excited about the wedding track have been working hard to decorate the set to make it look as royal as ever.

“It all started from this very wedding. Sita and Ram’s wedding was when these wedding festivities came into existence. The makers have planned a beautiful on-air campaign wherein with every festivity, they will be showcasing the importance of the ritual be it haldi ceremony or sindoor (vermillion) or varmala (garland) exchange between the bride and the groom.

“The makers have ordered marigold and rose flowers all the way from Mithila. Not everyone knows why marigold is the one flower majorly used in wedding ceremonies,” actress Bhargavi Chirmule, who plays the role of Sita’s mother Sunaina on the show, said in a statement.

“Siya Ke Ram”, which airs on Star Plus, also features Dalip Tahil and Karan Suchak.

The show is a unique depiction of the epic Ramayana from Sita’s perspective.
