Two Arrested by CCB police in Cattle theft case

Mangaluru: The CCB police arrested two youth in Kuloor in connection with a cattle theft case, here on December 12.

The arrested have been identified as Ahamed Kabeer (29) from Bengre and Sahul Hameed (28) from Bantwal.

According to the police, from August 8th, 8:30 pm to Aug 9th 5:00 am, cow was stolen from Bala Samrakshana Kendra at Munnur Kuthar. In this connection, a complaint was filed in the Ullal police station by the in-charge of the Kendra and the police were investigating the case.

The CCB police collected all the information about the accused trying to sell the stolen cow. The CCB police got into action and arrested both Ahamed Kabeer and Sahul Hameed near the Reliance Petrol Pump at Kuloor and seized a white Maruti Swift car bearing registration number KA 19MG 4760 and cash Rs 6,300/- all worth Rs 5.06 lakh from their possession.

The accused Ahamed Kabeer was earlier involved in stealing cows and 7 cases have been registered against him in the Panambur, Bajpe, Karkala and Ullal police stations. Another accused Shahul Hameed was also involved in stealing cattle and 8 cases have been registered against him in the Kadaba, Uppinangady, Panambur, Bajpe, Karkala and Ullal police stations.

Both the accused have been handed over to the Ullal police station for further investigations.

Under the able direction of Police commissioner T R Suresh, DCP Law and Order Hanumantharaya, DCP Crime and Traffic Uma Prashanth, the operation was carried out by the CCB police team led by Inspector Sunil Naik.

  1. Illegal cattle trafficking, illegal slaughterhouses and cattle theft are rampant all over India and everyone knows who is behind these illegal acts. However, our cowardly politicians, media and ‘secular’ groups refuse to acknowledge this reality and address the issue. By ignoring the issue, they are making it worse.
