Two Quarry Workers Die as Gravel Stone Container falls on them in Hebri

Karkala: Two quarry workers have died after a gravel stone container fell on them in Hebri, Karkala on Saturday, August 12.

The deceased have been identified as Sanjeeva (35) and Jagadish (43). Sanjeeva was working as driver and Jagadish was a loader. Jagadish is the native of Uttar Pradesh.

When the lorry rammed into the gravel stone container, the container fell on Sanjeeva and Jagadish. The duo died on the spot as the stones from the container fell on them. The quarry staff and locals are retrieving the bodies which are trapped underneath.

The quarry is operated by Prasanna Sooda. Hebri police have arrived at the sport and have initiated the investigation and operation to retrieve the bodies.
