Two robbers arrested in Delhi

New Delhi, July 30 (IANS) Two men who were involved in several criminal cases have been arrested here, police said on Thursday.

The accused were identified as Ajeet alias Pintoo, 25, and Rahul, 22, both residents of Sultanpuri area of Delhi. They were apprehended by the crime branch on July 28.

They nabbed the accused when they were trying to sell stolen mobiles in Sultanpuri area, joint commissioner of police (crime branch) Ravindra Yadav said.

They told the police that they, along with three associates, all residents of Meerut in Uttar Pradesh, used to rob passengers at bus stops during the night hours.

“Further interrogation revealed their involvement in eight robbery cases in various areas of Delhi,” he added.
